Cornkist is the creative work of Kirsty Hurrell, a ceramicist, wife, mum and dog owner living in rural Aberdeenshire. Since graduating from Cardiff University in 1996 has developed a successful range of work to be found through galleries and a couple of exclusive homeware companies.

Corn kist ceramics offers a range of beautiful bowls, labels and gifts to enhance the home and the heart. Every piece is made with care and consideration using vintage linens and lace to create unique patterns and designs on the clay and each letter is stamped by hand giving a quirky feel to all of the work.

The labels give simple joy to the humble storage jar and make storing the kitchen basics a pleasure.

Kirsty enjoys creating works that hold words and phrases that give added depth and personalising with names and dates pieces take on extra meaning, making unique and original celebratory gifts that will be treasured.

Each purchase from Corn kist leaves the studio gift boxed in recycled card boxes and is protected whilst in transit by its own nest of wood wool. Bespoke pieces are nestled wood wool in beautiful white presentation boxes and finished with a handmade porcelain tag to suit.
